Hi guys, a very quick question – looking for a basic hardtail as a gift for my US-based niece. She just had her GT avalanche stolen, looking for a replacement.
She is 15, does trails in the local park and generally discovers what biking is all about.
I assume (maybe wrongly) black Friday is a decent time to get a bike – now looking at drt1.2 from REI at about 1k and orbea alma h20 that would end up in the same range. Any words of wisdom (or maybe pointers towards a good deal for something in that price range, preferably 1by, hard tail, preferably with mechanical disk (if they still make them), ideally with an air fork?
Haven't been in the market for an awfully long time, and live outside of the US – so any pointers would be very very very welcome.
