35 days with a Cotopaxi 35L Allpa backpack on planes, trains, buses, automobiles, bicycles and our feet.

Italy, Switzerland (day trip), France, Belgium, Austria (top of a mountain), Germany!

I left my home on August 10 and joined my friends and is sitting near Chicago. My Daughter drove us all to the Chicago airport the next day. Our flight stopped in Munich and then continued on to Lyon France. We attended a beautiful convention for 10 days and then my husband, Brad joined us, we traveled by bus to Milan. Italy took a day trip up to Lugano and Bellagio and then took a train to Venice. The two younger girls of our trip headed home because they are working women. Four of us moved on to Florence by train and then after a delightful dinner with new friends, Brad and I took a train the following morning to Manarola in Cinque Terre. After a few days there we took a train to Aix-en-Provence in France where friends picked us up. We spent a day at their home outside of Marseille and then the next day did a boat tour of Les Calanques along the southern coast of France. We moved on to Gent Belgium where friends picked us up at the train station and took us to their home in Lockeran. Next app was Mittenwald Germany at an Airbnb there we spent a day climbing a mountain visiting a lake and bike riding around the town. The next day we did a cheer lift and a tricycle ride down the mountain. We biked over to the other side of town and took a cable car up and down the mountain. Next and last stop was Freising, Germany where we spent a delightful two days visiting friends and touring Munich and Freising.
