Part 2
I am Claude of France, the eldest daughter of King Louis XII of France and Anne of Brittany. I was born in 1499, and I was heir to the Duchy of Brittany.
When I was a child, my mother arranged for me to be married to Francis of Angoulême, the heir to the French throne. However, my mother died in 1514, and my father remarried. His new wife, Mary Tudor, wanted her own son to be the next king, so she tried to have my marriage to Francis annulled.
However, my father stood by me, and my marriage to Francis went ahead in 1514. Francis became king in 1515, and I became queen.
Our marriage was not happy. Francis was a handsome and charming man, but he was also unfaithful and irresponsible. He had many mistresses, and he neglected his duties as king.
I was a devout Catholic, and I was faithful to my husband. I also tried to be a good queen. I supported Francis’s efforts to modernize France, and I promoted education and the arts.
However, I was never able to win Francis’s love. He preferred his mistresses to me. I was also deeply unhappy about Francis’s decision to invade Italy. I knew that the war would be costly and bloody, and I feared for the future of France.
My fears were realized. In 1525, Francis was captured by the Spanish at the Battle of Pavia. He was held prisoner for a year, and I was forced to rule France in his absence.
I did my best to rule wisely, but I was faced with many challenges. The war in Italy was still ongoing, and the French economy was in ruins. I also had to deal with the threat of rebellion from the French nobility.
Francis was eventually released from captivity, but he continued to neglect his duties as king. He spent his time hunting and partying, while I was left to deal with the problems of government.
I died in 1524 at the age of twenty-four. I was pregnant with my seventh child, and I died from complications of childbirth.
I was buried in the Basilica of Saint-Denis, alongside my mother. I was mourned by my people, who remembered me as a kind and compassionate queen.

That is so sad. 7 children by age 24 and died at 24. That is sad. How can he have a mistress and didn’t even attend her funeral. Such a hard life. No matter the status of your life keep firm in YahWeh and love yourself

If she had 7 children by 24, and I don’t really think there was anything she did a lot after marrying the king, except be pregnant.
Im overjoyed i did not grownup during that nonsense
So sad fakts… So sad.
Wow so much cruelty in the old days
She had 7 children in 9 years… Wow..
she would’ve had to start having kids by 14-15yrs old…. i mean, i know they died young very often back then so they had to… and grew up a whole lot faster bc of it… but still…
Poor woman!!! Child breeder🥺
One of my favorites!
Crummy husband.
24 is crazy bro she sound like a real one tho low key shit RIP.
Bless your heart❤🙏RIP.
Anne Boleyn served her
She was the daughter of the previous King but in France the women could not inherit the monarchy, so they made her marry the next in line to the throne – a cousin of some sort. How can the other nobles be unhappy with the marriage when she shouldve been the rightful heir
Only one of her sons became King of France, not all three.
They were upset about her marriage because of who she married. He had syphilis, which he may have been the cause of her death. 🤷🏽♀️
So sad 😞
7 babies by 24 this is insane 😮😮😮
Not like the had birth control back then. Ugh how horrid. If he had VD would the kids have it too. I don’t know much about that disease
Could you please use the appropriate accents. Videos would be much better.
I feel like back in the day the kings and dukes and noble man were more cruel to their wives than today
She only had 1 son that was king. Henry II. The other 2 were dukes.
OMG 😳🫣🥴🥰😢..What a fu**ing Life she have had! Sooo young and always pregnant and 7 Children with 24…I'm really feeling sad to and for her! This is a Desaster…poor Girl…Money and to be "Royal" is a hard Crown and KARMA or Sword over their Head in that Times…or like the Arabians say: KISMET….😢😭😭🫣😓❣️🙏🏻
Only one of Claude's son, Henry II becane king. It was Catherine de Medici who had 3 sons for kings.
Claude succeeded her mother Anne as Duchess of Brittany. Her father was King Luis XII. Although she was his ekdest child, she could not succeed to throne of France since French law banned female succession. So her father married her to the nearest male relatives, Francis snd when Louis died in 1515, Francis and Claude became king and queen
Wasn’t her husband mistress Mary Boleyn?
