Bike theft is pretty bad in my city, so I don’t ever recommend locking up carbon frames. It’s quite common for a thief to attempt a theft, and to damage the frame. With aluminum you can keep riding but with a carbon frame, it’s toast. It’s just not worth the risk in my opinion to lock up your carbon frame at all.
