Had a really frustrating issue occur a couple of days ago. When I am pedalling in the highest gear every now and again it felt like the chain was slipping. The issue doesn't occur on every full rotation and seems to be intermittent. I have found that it happens pedalling both forward and backwards and that it's actually the chain catching on the lower gear. I tried adjusting cable tension using the shifter barrel reducing tension didn't help. It doesn't look like the derailleur hanger is bent and I haven't had any crashes or falls.
The issue can be seen right at the end of the video. Any ideas how to solve this?

Try unscrewing the high limit screw a bit on the rear derailleur.
Is it a problem when spinning the wheel in the right way? No, then leave it.
Is your chain the correct gauge?
If you try the recommended adjustments and still have this problem consider the width of your chain.
My personal experience recently with a Shimano chain. Brand new bike, 11 speed setup. It would catch on the larger cog but only on a specific gear. All the other gears would be fine. I measured the width of the chain and compared it to a spare SRAM 11 speed chain I had and there was a .03mm difference. I swapped it on and my problem went away. The Shimano chain was just slightly too wide.
Running the drivetran backwards is not an accurate way to assess performance.
You need to be running the drivetrain forwards so the derailleur is acting correctly.
If it is slipping under load it is *probably* either chain wear or cassette wear. How old are they/how many miles?
