  1. It is on the large size for someone your height. Best for someone around 5’7 to 5’9″. The problem with older FS MTBs is that they start needing a full service to perform optimally. Expect a full service to be quite expensive, 200-300 plus parts. That being said if the shocks are still functioning you could get a few to several more seasons out of the bike only dealing with consumables and basic maintenance. The geometry of the bike is dated, MTBs have become longer and have a more relaxed headtube/fork angle.

    Price is not far from what I expect for a decade+ old MTB. The value depends on if it is in working condition and does the bike need any immediate service.
