  1. Been digging the Velo Orange Seine bars on my tandem. It’s the current Crazy Bar without the welded in place horns. I’ve found that 45° or more back sweep for a flatter bar is too much for me when I tried their Klunker bars, along with the Klunker being a bit stiff and harsh on the hands.

Might have to try a few out if you can to see what is most comfortable for you.

  2. My Surly Skid Loader came with Surly Terminal Bars. I wasn’t so sure at first, but they really grew on me. I put Surly Sunrise Bars on my early 2000s 26er and love ’em. I put VO crazy bars on my tandem and really like them for touring. Before that I tried Ritchey kyote bars on the tandem and didn’t like them at all.

The hesitation with a moose bar is you can’t adjust the angle of the handlebar. With an independent bar you have so much more fine tuning, not to mention stem length.

I really like the flat section and the 35 degree sweep angle of the Seine bars from VO. And the price is right.

  4. Jones bar is great! Great maneuverability during the rough sections, and the front section helps be more aero for the long straight roads.
