Rather than buy an outbound package. Would I be fine to just buy the Evo (flood light) and for a helmet light would my road bike light suffice? Its this: Bontrager Ion Pro RT Front Bike Light. (Just need to find a way to mount it to helmet)
I'm not sure if MTB specific helmet lights are important or not?
Plan to ride flowy stuff. East coast blues and greens.

IMO for mountain biking head light is the primary. I run a tighter beam on the head lamp and want it to be the best of the two.
IF I run a bar light I run more a flood pattern.
I have the bontrager light and there is a go pro adapter that is the ideal solution. Then you can use any go pro connections on bike and on the helmet etc.
the bontrager light would be fine (once mounted) as a helmet light. It’s bright enough and the beam has a good focus.
I have been riding night for decades and started with crap in the 90’s. You adapt your riding to light you have to be honest. I have raced with 1500L and 200L (shoot, did a half lap when a light failed with no light).
Ride safe and within the lights limits. I never go full out at night unless a race or I am with people.
I just strapped a flashlight on the top of my helmet with a big rubber band once and it worked great. The helmet light is technically more important, but it also is fine to be a narrower flashlight style beam of light. I think any bright enough light you can stick on your helmet pairs nice with the Evo. Your road bike light should work great as a helmet light.

Or if you have a Bontrager helmet there might be a Blendr mount made specifically for it, that would be ideal.
