I sold that bike back in the day. That rear swing arm and what not was notorious for having major issues. Avoid at all costs.

Kleins are awesome and that is pretty on par for what I’ve seen them sold for. Do it.

For me it’s $200 too much for the FS design. It sucked on the sugar, its sucked on the Adept.

  4. Wow some negative comments in here. It’s only 300 and it’s a Klein. Buy it. You’ll definitely enjoy owning it and riding it (although really it’s mostly for looking at).

  5. See that hole in the lower swing arm just behind the main pivot?

Every Klein of this era broke right there (or eventually will).

Cargo bikes handle poorly in any event, so it’s not the worst idea I’ve ever heard of, but I can think of a thousand better platforms for building one. Vintage full suspension bikes are only good for the truly demented nostalgia folks. It’s a labor of love that has zero payback unless you have to scratch that nostalgia itch. Full suspension bikes are sort of like electric cars. They’re just consumer goods that are meant to be full depreciated and then trashed or recycled.
