Hey guys, I'm looking to buy my first bike, I like this one it's cheap it has good specs ( discs, 1×8, Shimano parts) – I've been told those are good things 😀
I would like to use it for beginner triathlon training, and for road riding long distances.
What do you guys think?

Looks like a good commuter bike especially since it has built-in lights with dynamo but I wouldn’t think it would be good if your intension is to get into triathlons.
how much are they asking?
do you know about the gearing – how big is the front chainring? if it were me, I’d want at least 50 on the big ring for road/fitness riding.
right now it’s set up a bit more as a commuter/city bike, with the fenders and kickstand and knobby tires- but those could be removed if you want to use it for speed/fitness/road biking.
The most important thing is: does it fit you? you probably won’t know this until you ride it. Bikes, I find, are like shoes, the size can say a number, and that may be your size, but until you try it, you really don’t know for sure…
I’d say, if it fits you, and rides nice, and seems in good shape, and the price is right, go for it, remove the extraneous parts, throw some GP5000s on there, and send it! lol
edit: One more consideration. I have rim brakes, but I was researching disc, and everyone on reddit said: hydraulic disc are great, but mechanical disc can be a hassle, so check on that as well
This is a commuter bike for a place that is mostly flat, not really made for race training. Also the rear fender annoys me, it will dump loads of water on your shoes. It needs to go an inch or two below the rear stays. Not long enough in the back either, its like they only had two front fenders when they installed it.

You’re going to hate an 8speed for even moderate climbs. I’d shop for a nice used 9×2 w 105 or Ultegra…
