I’m currently looking for a replacement for my FOX Float RP23 200 x 50 rear shock. (2nd picture with my bike) I serviced it two months ago, but I’m planning to install a new shock in the spring. For now, I just want to explore my options and came across the FOX Factory FLOAT DPX2 200×51 EVOL LV 3-Position Lever Rear Shock. (1st pic) My question is: will this shock fit? I converted the dimensions from inches to millimeters, and it comes out to 50.8mm. The frame spec for my bike is 7.875 x 2.0 inches. How much of a difference in fit will this slight size change make?

It’ll physically fit, but the stock tune may be a bit light for the high leverage ratio of the Ellsworth. What are you hoping to get out of a piggyback shock that a standard Float or Deluxe couldn’t do?
Ellsworth has a pretty steep headtube angle already… If you could swap out your front end for 27,5 then I’d say go for it.
27,5-26 mullet is so much fun
