  1. 5:58 those barriers are absolutely INSANE, look at all the space behind, there was absolutely zero reason to put them there, they could have easily put the barriers much farther back

  2. Neat sprint. Keeping full gas for so long is helluva taxing on lungs. Even if rider's legs don't feel fatigue, breathing becomes difficult after such an effort.

  3. My stream of the race buffered for like half a second during that vandenberg crash, it jumped from him leading them through the corner to the UAE guy just ripping it and VDB was nowhere to be seen, I was so confused, I had no idea he crashed.

  4. I'll apply as safety officer for La Vuelta or UCI. Seriously, how hard can it be to spot that
    – a TTT in the dark
    – 20m downhill run off
    – a hairpin corner with narrowing barriers in the last 400m of a clear sprint stage
    are a bad ideas?

  5. It's strange and funny not to hear Trek Segafredo…every time I hear the team name now it sounds like "Little Trek" like a bunch of dwarves or children 😂

  6. Magnus Cort sprint at Volta Algarve 2023 stage 3 had to have been the longest sprint this year. He came from a different planet to get to the finish line.

  7. Are protestors just after any big sporting events to get attention or is there something with cycling specifically they don't like, such as the caravan of vehicles needed to run the race?

  8. Hey mate! Don't believe any bullshit coming from the Spanish police regarding catalan independence activists. The track record of false accusations and plain lies by the Spanish police in this regard is very solid. You can document yourself by watching the trial for REBELION and SEDITION against the organizers of the Referendum for Catalan independence on October first 2017, and compare the police testaments with the actual recordings of what really happened that day (there are plenty of videos and documentaries here in YouTube). Or just look for "Operation Judas" by the Spanish police against a pretended terrorist plot by Catalan activists, and you should feel ashamed by giving any credibility at all to Spanish police claims against Catalan activists.
I would be surprised at all that the nails on the road were put by the Spanish police as a false flag action to blame Catalan activists. It's happened more than once, and it is also well documented. So document yourself!
