I ride from Gobabis to Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia, in Africa.
The ride takes me 3 days.
As I wake up from my first night on the road, the battery of my e-trike does not start… it seems dead… what a setback!
Because of that, I have to finish the way to Windhoek with only one battery. Before reaching Windhoek, I stop at Kapps farm, a place where I can test some delicious Namibian meat.
As I reach Windhoek, I go to a bicycle shop to see if my battery could be repaired, but it seems that I will not be able to quickly solve this issue…

  1. Yea making these videos are as time consuming as 9 to 5. You have to set up the scenes, I know when you’re tired it takes a lot of energy to pull the camera out and film stuff. Than the hours of editing. Much respect!

  2. You do upper body work out during your travels? I like to do planks and push-ups for 20 to 30 minutes on tour. Keeps my core tight and the pain at bay. You definitely look like you’re doing more than just pedaling.

  3. Sucks your battery died, those aren’t cheap. Bosch says you should get 1000 charge cycle from a battery before it starts to show any real degradation. I don’t know about Shimano though. Maybe you can get a warranty.

  7. Wondering if you use puncture proof inner tubes? the ones that they have some liquid inside that seals the puncture when it happens, I bought 2 for my bike 4200KM ago and still no puncture, i have had thorns go through the tire and the air goes down a bit but after I pull it out and pump up the tire its as good as new
