You can just about buy a brand new full suspension (not a Santa Cruz though) for that now. Or definitely a more modern used one. I would pass.

I don’t think it’s worth it, it’s quite an old bike and you can buy new ones off the shelf for about that price.

Before you buy any used bike, I’d check out some new bike pricing. The market is saturated with unsold bikes and there are some amazing deals. Even if you choose not to buy new, you can use that information as leverage.
The bike market is great for the buyer, and pretty cruddy for the seller
I think this is a 2019 so not old by any means. If the suspension has been serviced and everything is in good condition, it’s a way to get into a Santa Cruz without having to complete dentistry college. New SCs have different suspension pivot systems but who cares really. If you like the bike and a short travel carbon bike is your jam, it’s not a bad price IMO.
That said, and as others mentioned, the bike market is a shit show at the moment so 2k can go a long way if you look hard enough. It won’t get you new carbon wheels and frame though, but it’s a buyers market and there’s lots to choose from. If you do choose to take this one, it wouldn’t hurt to ask the right questions and maybe respectfully talk them down a little.
If you like it and it’s a Tallboy 4, absolutely. If it’s a 3, or older, maybe not.
That’s a good model of the Tallboy, if you don’t mind the geo. It is more XC oriented, and will out climb the new version any day of the week.
I have a TB3 and as hard as I try justifying getting a new bike, it just performs perfectly every time for everything I need it for. It’s a great climber and quick. Not sure I would pay 1.9k for it today tho.
