I mounted these Pathfinder pros today. The back is great but the front has this pinched spot by the valve. I hope it is visible in the picture.
I tried to reseat and mess with it a bit but no luck. Anything else to try? Or possibly an issue with the tire?

It looks like an installation problem to me. Deflate, remove the nut on the valve stem, push the valve all the way in, reseat the tire, push the valve stem in again, then reinflate, then reinstall the nut on the valve stem.

This isn’t an issue with the tire but with the tube. In some brands, like Bontrager, the rubber around the base of the valve doesn’t stretch equally with the rest of the tube causing a slight deformation after inflation that’s also visible on the outer tire from both sides. Eventually this will disappear due to wear and stretch.
Edit:
To fix it, get a better brand for the tube like Schwalbe.

If you tightened the nut before inflating, then it kept the valve from going deeper inside the tyre and it didn’t leave room for the tyre bead to go deeper in the rim and be fully seated.

Rides like crap as well I should think, you can get the same problem where the tube is joined also.
Solution is to go tubeless, you will save a load of mass too.
When I got my new mtb the bike shop set it up tubeless, I weighed the tubes and they came in at about 450 grams for the pair.
The bike only weighs 11 kg so that’s a massive % of the total mass.
