  1. First check the other side of the axle for an Allen key socket but if not then…
    What is it originally? 5mm Allen key or 6mm? If it’s a 5 you can try a T30 torx bit.

    There appears to be some lip from the axle available you can also get a pair of vise grips on that edge.
    Vampliers is also a good option if you know someone with an extensive tool collection.

  2. try placing a piece between the axel and your wrench to see if that helps the grip.

    if all else fails, and i do mean all else: take a rotary tool. carefully cut a slit down the middle. then use a flathead screwdriver to remove the axel. has worked for me more than once. it’s not graceful or without risk but it gets the job done.
