  1. Seems to be made by Shimano, made with plastic and installed around bike headset or stem. I’m suspecting it could be one of two thing. Its either a bike bell. However, due to cursive text, I could only translate the blue and red text (start and stop). Therefore, another possibility is a “stem lock” to keep bike front wheel stable when parked. Anyone have use one of these before?

I’m pretty sure that’s a steering/stem lock, quite handy while having a front rack or something in that area. When putting it on a stand your whole front wheel/fork/handlebar doesn’t swing around and your bicycle falls over. Pretty common in the Netherlands.

  3. Shimano HP-NX10 Locking Headset. Locks the wheel straight ahead, great for any front loading setup to keep the bike from spontaneously falling while parked.

They are unfortunately made of weak plastic and break with moderate force, I’d love to see a modern brand make their own metal version.

It’s like a steering wheel lock so if someone steels your bike they can only ride in a straight line 😗
