Looking for a commuter/gravel/maybe light bikepacking bike. I’ve looked at a lot of topstones and journeyers, but there’s always been something off with the seller or bike. Should I go ahead with this bike or keep on searching?
2019 Trek Checkpoint AL4. Comes with tubeless tires, spd pedals, rear rack, Shimano power meter, redshift seat post and stem. Tiagra group set and hydraulic brakes. Recent tuneup and chain replacement, but the cassettes are close to needing replaced.
Seems solid to me, but this is the first time I’ve spent any serious cash on a bike. BBB puts the bike alone at about $600.
