Have been talking to this seller and could probably get the bike for 200 CAD (26 inches tires). yall think it’s a good deal for a project bike? I’m fairly new tho this whole thing and have been wanting to build something like some of those pretty nice hardrock some of yall post here.

This is lightyears better than a Hard Rock to me, especially for the price. Double Butted Tange tubes on this vs straight Cr Mo tubes on the Hard Rock plus way more personality.
I’m a bit biased though.

I’m my area 145usd/200cad is the most I’d pay if it has some XT parts. Ok price, but it’s not a bargain.
It’s a good looking bike …and if you like it then $200 is not an insane amount to pay…👍. It’s also a nice point to start a project build …as opposed to starting with complete junk…
For $200 it’s a good buy. No more though.
If you’re converting to 1x be prepared to dump another $600+ into it unless you already got the parts lying around. I’m $1000 CAD deep into my ‘budget’ GT build 💀 but I started with just a frame nothing else.
