So I picked one up and just getting back into BMX since mid 90s. What are y’all’s thoughts on this reissue? I’ll just be riding around the park. Maybe try some trucks but nothing crazy. I love the look of this bike and had a blue one when I was a kid. Anyone have experience with this reissue?

I don’t understand the appeal of these reissues: one piece cranks, unsealed bearings, dinner plates sprockets… bikes have progressed for the better in the last 40 years why not embrace it.

Reminds me exactly of the bikes I rode as a kid. I could never afford the good brands though. I think it’s badass. I love it.
when it’s done right it’s really cool to see brands do this. i think they know no one’s going to be sending these off x-games halfpipes so it’s a cool call to their heritage and a cool and useable collectors item
It looks just like the ones I wanted back in the day, but after riding a modern bike for almost a year now, I just can’t go back. The reissue stuff is brilliant marketing. It’s like a gateway drug to get people back on bikes. If you like it, and it gets you riding and loving life, it’s perfect! Enjoy your new bike!
The appeal for alot of these myself included is these were generally bikes that were unobtainable as kids because our parents had to buy them so now that were older and can afford them we may get one. I havent even riden one of the new ones yall mostly ride now a days. The seat cocked back with the small sprocket and fatter tires honestly look unappealing to me. Im sure the tech is better but this is just more aesthetically appealing to me but im in no way shape or form a big bmx rider. I appreciate the sport and grew up on it but im pushing 50 now and retired military so my back, shoulders, knees, neck are shot lol.
