  1. I love me a fixed gear bike! Liking the all black as well. You probably already did this, but make sure your chainring bolts are properly tightened. A lot of the time, stock bolts loosen when locking up the rear cog as a result of some parts not being properly tightened. Coming from me remedying a lot of fixies on campus that keep having a chain falling off or not responding well to skidding.

    Check the headset so that it is tightened properly, too! Sometimes a new rider can have problems learning to skid because of them not being able to keep their fork in line bc of that. Lol last needless ramble man, replace those stock pedals with a reliable set and invest in straps, cages, or clips. I prefer straps but to each their own!   2. Agree with everyone here. Fixies aren’t my thing though (love my granny gears).

    You might want to also do a nice tune up after a few rides. New bikes will adjust and break in, so keep an eye on all that.
