This is a cycle that I enjoy doing at this time of year as the path isn’t frozen and there are no midges. Getting away from the city on the canal and you are traffic free all the way to Strathblane. From here you just need to navigate a small stretch of busy road to get onto the back road up to Mugdock that’s mostly traffic free.
My niece is fascinated with grit/salt bins. Can you help her count the bins in this video (there are quite a few) watch out as there is a few red herrings as well. There is also a wee surprise in one of the bins later on in this video so stay tuned. Leave your answer in the comments section.
Routes included in this video are NCN 754, 755 & 756 as well as the Thomas Muir way.

Always great wee video and informative and good editing skills 👍👍👍👍
Can you provide a gpx of your route through Milngavie? I struggle to find a safe route.
Another great video.
Flippin wicked wee video.
Brings back so many memories and inspires me to do this loop when I pop back to Scotland in January 2025.

Really enjoyed this! Your videos are getting better and better! I’ve done the route along the Kelvin Walkway and Kirky many times…
Lovely routes
I love the little map cutaways you have, could spend hours doing the then and now swipe 😀 I’ve not done that whole route but it looks fun. I made some scales for the Bella sculpture at an art workshop last weekend 🐲
Excellent route with great off road sections. Really enjoyable watch.
Another fantastic video 😊
I’ve overtaken a car coming down that road at Mugdock res. Should have seen the look on the guys face. 😂😂😂
Great video, a real nostalgia trip for this near 80 veteran. Cycled a lot of it many years ago. So good to see safe tracks growing.
Does Olivia require Cosy gritting updates from Port Dundas on NCN 754? First deployment looks like Monday 18 Nov. I trust this is acceptable?
@20:56 – we just moved to the flats just at the top of that ramp to the left, so I take the river/canal all the time. we just went up to Bowling last week. I've never taken the other way beyond Lambhill, but I'll definitely go up with my wife and kids to Kirkinilloch soon – it looked like a nice ride.
Good drone shots and informative commentary on points along the route. Weather was kind to you and the rest of November looks promising for cycling 👍
And Creator God calles Satan the dragon and was known as the serpent too.
The thumbnail caught my attention, please stop allowing Satans vessels to erect statues and symbols of the Evil One, he must not be glorfied as he us destroyer of all life. Reject and rebuke by complaining to councils we do not consent to these Satanic dieties.
Glory to God Almighty 🙏✝️.
Great watch 🏆🏆🏆
