Neo Retro build on my 96’ Specialized Allez

Upgraded a 96’ steel frame Specialized Allez Sport I purchased on Facebook marketplace for ~$200.

Brand new group set, wheels, and bars. Replaced a few of the components myself, and had my LBS check my work and finish up the rest (old 105 crankset was very stuck). All in all less than $450 to upgrade everything, got most components off Facebook marketplace or eBay.

New components:
– 2×10 shimano Tiagra crankset, shifters, rim brakes.
– 38mm Bontrager ride lite flat top bars (very comfy)
– Easton EA 90 SLX wheels
– Cinelli 60mm ant stem (I have short reach)
– White Shimano hoods, red cable covers, and vintage cinelli red cork bar tape to finish.

Rides like an absolute dream. I’ll probably replace the saddle with something a little more visually compatible but it’ll do for now.
