This was the first time I experienced some kind of racism on this journey. How did I deal with it? I explored Peja and the Accursed mountains.

I cycled from Prishtina to the West and then East (28/07 – 16/08).
20 days. 350 km. Four cities. One family.
This is the 4th video of 6 of my Kosovo Series.

Ep.1: PRISHTINA: many things to see, many things to learn
Ep.2: MITROVICA from my eyes, a divided city
Ep.3: What did I learn while cycling in Kosovo?
Ep.4: I am the only Asian in Peja
Ep.5: Prizren, the most Turkish city in Kosovo
Ep.6: My biggest lessons. Memories with my family from Kosovo

Stay tuned.

  1. in Kosovo even if you a holding a camera up and filming yourself and also speaking to the camera you get stares. And let alone being another race that we rarely get to see here.
and also Kinezka or Kina is actually like a slang for China it's harmless not at all racism, our hospitality for international people is very common except to maybe some places. Sorry this happened to you. I enjoy your videos actually and how in detail you explain everything and are soo well informed keep it up🦾

  4. Hello there. Your channel showed up in our screen. Nice to see your adventures . You are very brave in your journey. Beautiful country where you are right now. Be safe always. I’ve seen your video from Philippines (Palawan). Keep on vlogging. God Bless.

  5. Sara.

  6. I think staring is a very common thing in the balkans or at least in Kosovo, whether you look different or not, some people will just stare at you. And when you're a bit more exotic than others you will for sure attract even more stares. Ofc this doesnt make it better and less rude and surely is something unconfurtable to experience. But I dont think it necessarly has anything to do with racism. I think its a bit a combination of people there being very direct and open and that certain people have bad manners and then they think they are being funny when saying things like that. I don't think that these people had any issues with asians or chinese, since they most likely never met anyone from there before, but I could also be wrong.

Anyway I really enjoyed watching this video, you made it very personal by sharing your feelings and experiences you made in the country in a very genuine way. 👍

  8. Lovely video of the mountains and forest. It was good to see the canyon from somebody else's eyes and perspective, loved the place you found for lunch – what a view and perfect shelter from that storm!

  9. not worried that’s how kosovarians or Albanians are it’s not racism lol they just don’t see Asians to often they’re friendly good people

  10. You went into a Town of the Most Isolated Country in Europe, which has spent the last 700 years in Dark Ages, don't get shocked when you experience "Racism". These people are basically acting the same as your Ancestors probably did when Europeans showed up in Asia (out of the blue). If you show up in some South-American Latino country as a European, people will call you Gringo (Donkey) but will Lie to you that it means "Whytie" (as if it would be better). Analyse your destinations better before you go there. Or… habe the Balls to tell the people straight in the face "Never seen an Asian before!?".

  11. You used the word “racism”but fyi Kosovar people are the least “racist” people on earth if you ask those people anything if you need it any help they will provide you comfort and security and take that raciest shit whatever you came from

  12. Albanians from Kosova & Albania havent had much interaction with Asian people and for them they dont know the differences from Japanese – Korean – Vietnamese – Chinese for the average Albanian person who has education from former Yugoslavia mostly people over 40s when they see Asian-looking people they assume youre Chinese because China is seen as the big Asian country and most famous one and it was only country during Cold war that had an history with Albania.
Therefore dont take it as racism they are just generally not educated on that level and are mostly surprised that Asians come to this part of the world because Albania-Kosova is not seen the hub of tourism for Asians
