More background – I’ve just noticed this potential issue with my rear tire. Refer to the pic where it looks a bit wonky in a section. At first I thought it might not have been fitted correctly but on closer inspection the middle rubber seam is not straight so I’m suspecting a manufacturing issue. What do you think? Would you ride on it?

No issues noticed when riding, both on the road and on the trainer. Things looks fine when viewed from the side. I’m new to cycling – these are the stock tires on a ~3 month old bike, so came already fitted.

  2. That type of trainer typically beats up tires. Did your tire look like that prior to being on the trainer?

Looks like it isn’t seated in the bead correctly. If you looks at the sidewall there, it will probably also dip down there then. If that is the case, just Google how to get it into the bead correctly

  4. You need to release the pressure on the tire on the trainer while not in use, otherwise the pressure will warp the tire.
