I posted yesterday how I got a new project GT bike. Anyhow, this morning I took it out for a 14 mile excursion and it wasn’t pleasant but it wasn’t bad either. As of now (post-that-ride), I’ve replaced all cables and housings, the rear brake pads, and the grips…

I find that narrow flat bars are not so comfortable. Try out a wider riser bar or an alt bar with sweep. I have a Jones Ti H-bar and it seems to improve the ride if any bike I install it on.
I can see my house!
These bikes have a lot of reach. Can take a bit to dial the fit.
I have a similar bike I’ve been working on.

I rode it to work a few weeks ago. Wasn’t good, but it wasn’t bad either.
