It’s May and the weather is finally getting better. I’m about to embark on my first bikepacking adventure with my beloved Brompton. I’ll pack touring essentials, like my tent, camping stove, food and coffee.
It’s a 4-hour cycle from Abbey Wood to Sheppey, where I’ll stay overnight on a cliff overlooking the North Sea.
I want to see the sunset from my tent. Follow along to see if I make it.

Thanks to Clifftop Camping in Eastchurch for having me for the night.

Aww I love this!! ❤
Already planning my next one!
The mixed mode Brompton/Train travel combo is addictive. I love putting my Brompton on a long distance train and enjoying the location.
Keep the videos coming!
Unless u are trying cover long distances and multi days,i would rather use the two man tent for comfort for shorter tour.
GoPro on chest strap works better than your helmet… that’s what I’ve found. I also a ram mount on the handle bar for a second camera. Well done on your first camping trip.
Great tour. I've seen that campsite on another touring video and it's on my list of places to go with my Brompton.
We have an exact same color…I loved Fire Coral.
Watch you don't lose your seat to a gust of wind in the night. 👍
Nice Video. A flip flop is essential to pack next time. I did my first bike packing (with two other bromptoneers) last April. It was still very cold, but I brought a hot water bag as recommended by other bike packers. It did the trick. Now that the weather is kinder, it is easier to pack light stuff. Good luck on your next trip. Keep uploading. I subscribed to your channel.
Brilliant I really enjoyed it.
Excellent
I enjoyed watching this. I've been considering getting a Brompton and video like this are edging me closer to that purchase. What color is your Brompton? I can't tell if it's Fire Coral or Sunset Orange. I think Sunset Orange is a newer color and I can't seem to find real world photos of it.
Classy!
Great Job Darin; blesses from Argentina
The river path from London to Dartford is much more scenic than the Route 1 section you’ve shown so far. Thats my cycle commute from Dartford to Strood and basically follows the motorway hardshoulder
That looked like a fun ride. Great places.
Your Bromton, how many gears has it? It's a beauty.
