Tig welded Reynolds 853 with a carbon fork and 9 speed Shimano 105 with Tiagra hubs to cut costs. Is it worth $325. I don’t know, but its a nice steel bike.

Hell yes! If it’s your size & it’s in great shape? No brainer. You couldn’t build it for this.

Get it!

big yes. some of the nicest production model steel frames ever made. nothing special components wise, but all that shit is a scam after a certain point anyway. difference between 105 and dura ace at that time was prob like 18 grams of weight lol

Well worth that price if it fit you.
I look at it this way. That money gets you next to nothing but Walmart bikes brand new. That money gets you a bargain wheelset brand new. That won’t last and are heavy. I spent more than half that on a set of tires by the time I add valves and sealant to the equation a few weeks ago.
You are getting an entire bike made from a good tube set with decent yet old components.

It’s a great buy, buy before someone else does.

looks pretty reasonable.

I still ride my 1997 Lemond Buenos Aires regularly. Basically the same bike but with a steel fork, and I upgraded to 10 speed 105 a few years ago. It’s a great bike.
But one comment is that the default fit can be off for people with long legs and short torsos, since the top tube is longer than the seat tube. Fits me perfectly as I have proportionally short legs and a long torso. You might need to swap stems if you’re in the former category

Seems odd that they dropped the price so dramatically. Hot bike?

As to market value that’s fair to good but not “drop everything and go get it right now.”
However 853 Lemonds are ridiculously undervalued on the market. They are light and ride really well. They have modern integrated shifters. The only downside is they won’t take larger than a 28mm tire.
And that is a great color.

Have lemond from the late 90s and like it a lot. If it fits you correctly no brainer.
