A sunny day and a sufficiently large time window – thus I decided to go along the Saar-Radweg around the Saarschleife (Saar Loop).
Starting off in Beckingen and crossed the river to go north in direction Saarschleife. Enjoyed a well pathed path until reaching the entry to the Saarschleife, just to find out it was closed for construction. Thus had to cross with the ferry and then go along the gravel path on the opposite side. Went all the way to Mettlach, then back again along the river to Beckingen.
Can highly recommend the Saar Radweg. Beautiful landscape, great cycle path, some industrial heritage along the way.
