Salsa Journeyer or Poseidon Redwood? (Or Grizl 6 AL?)

I’m currently between the Redwood and the Journeyer (REI closeby)

Im new to gravel and really adult biking in general but I love taking my dad’s Vilano out on a few local rainy trails with roots, rocks, gravel etc and I don’t think it’s going to last much longer..

I’d like to get a drop style gravel bike with an emphasis on trails/adventure/ruggedness and soon after upgrade to tubeless.

Eventually, I’ll probably grab a 2nd set of wheels for more road oriented trips.

My budget is probably around $1200 max, w/ upgrades.

I could spend more, but I’d rather get something decent now, tear the crap out of it and upgrade to something better later on. Or I could grab the Redwood and upgrade the wheels for $500 or so and probably be right as rain, right?

Did I mention I’m hard on vehicles? 😉 I would like to ride in the snow, too!

Let me know what yas think and if I should be looking at anything else, I’m kinda overloaded at this point!
