The IEO Seminar Series hosted a conversation with Professors Moritz Schularick (Kiel Institute for the World Economy) and Pierre Yared (Columbia Business School) on Turbulent Times: Populist Leaders, Inflation, and Central Bank Pressures.

In this seminar, two leading voices in the field of macroeconomic policy and political economy provided comprehensive insights into the economic impact of populism and the persistent structural changes in the global economy that will keep future global inflation higher on average than in the past.

Helene Poirson (Advisor, Independent Evaluation Office of the IMF) moderated the event.
