Ace video mate!! Absolutely amazing that you went in the Gifford!.. It's my usual place when in town on a gig night, (and most probably that safest place to be too)!!.
The Dive is a good venue but pricey for what they offer.
The Billy has a great crowd in during the day and early evening. Just around the corner is The Old Still again a good crowd but is really busy on a Thursday with different entertainments but I'm guessing that's one you chose to ignore.
You crawled through three of the biggest shit holes in Wolverhampton .. You’ve scraped the barrel and gone through to the wood no pun Intended … Those areas you wouldn’t walk through an evening no wonder you’re there in the daytime
Take no notice of millionaire Chelsea players' dissing…Wolvo is no better or worse than anywhere else, it's a good city, down to earth people, give it a go….
I’ve lived in Wolverhampton for 40years and of all the pubs you visited on the outskirts I’d been in about 2 of them. Fair play to you though you did some decent coverage around the outskirts. There’s a fair few more you could have done but you’d literally be there all day.
This had me remembering some of the old boozers around the wider Wolverhampton area, back in the 90s early 00s on nights out on the weekend or after work on a week night. Back when it was a town the whole place used to be heaving, and the old dive type pubs that were dotted around the wider city were amazing. I've lost cost of how many I got wasted in in my 20s, after work straight down a pub and not leaving till kicking out.
Wolves had a good nightlife bk in the 90s & early 00s the uni was right there as well so a lot of student nights as well hads some good nights out but like most towns the nightlife has kind of slowed down
Brilliant video mate, thank you for promoting Wolverhamptons pubs in such good light. It's not as bad an area as some people make out! …. You should try Willenhall next
Haven't been to Wolvo in years but would go to the Giffard arms on my lunch break with my mates back in the 80s…isn't the old still, still there ? that's an old bar surprised you didn't go there was in King Street..unless it's no longer there ?
My dad watches your videos and sent me this one thanks to your exclusive feature of the DIVE FEST poster because it's got my name on it! Now that the event has been and gone, I can say it was a great day and will happen again!
I moved to Wolverhampton from Leicester and I think it's great. Like all cities there are good areas and not so good areas. The people are really friendly. My neighbours are great too.👍
Great vlog, this was the first one of your videos I watched, we went to Wolverhampton last Friday and visited The Giffard and Persisian after watching your video. I used to go to Wolverhampton in my younger days, Thank you for the inspiration, all the best, Webby 👍

My best mate used to live in The Gifford when his parents ran it in the 80s. He's got some stories 😂
Did you go in the toilets in the Combermere? There’s a tree growing there that goes up through the roof, one of its main features!
Bunk opposite the Billy Wright is a newer one which is quite good too, albeit a bit pricey.
Love going out in wolves must admit – matchdays are something else
Still think it's one of the cheapest nights out in the country – believe the independent said it was
Love how every pub has a wolves badge on display 😀
Great western great boozer great Cobs.

Rock Bar Wolverhampton, Visit the SLADE rooms, near the station.

You should visit The Vine pub in Wednesfield near Wolverhampton a Black Country Ales pub and it’s brilliant 🍻👍
You missed North street social, another great rock pub right behind the slug and next door the the civic hall, lots of after partys there.
You missed the iconic tree in the toilet at the combermere
