Before WW2 Hardy Amies worked as a world-renowned fashion designer. A very clean-cut man who mingled with Hollywood stars, he made for the perfect spy. He would go on to spend the war fighting with the Belgian resistance behind enemy lines, specializing in assassinations of German officers.

  1. Are British intelligences ( SOE controllers and other controllers) they meant to explore resistant figures for Germans !!? Or are those intelligences controllers in (London) lacked secrecy and skilled administrators? Where are most SOE agents captured by Ghostabo networks? British and the USA wanted former armies of Allies liberated occupied countries for future US agendas superiority ..

  2. Unfortunately and sadly, the lack of oversight and supervision of the workers in the British end of SOE caused the breach of some of these networks from being discovered for months causing the deaths of many agents soon after arriving. All agents had a security code and if it was missing or placed in the wrong place, that told London that they had been caught and had.to transmit for the Germans. I’ve read of many SOE agents who did that but London either didn’t notice, waited to long to act on it or dismissed the failure altogether and kept sending new agents in who were picked up immediately.

  3. Our pathetic education system is promoting the idea that Churchill was a war monger. I am a 75 year old eldest son of a WW2 Para, so I don't need reminding of what was happening to us and our allies. Fascism takes many forms and lives among us today. The struggle goes on.

  4. "The burden mounted further." Come on, writers. Think about your figurative language. Things "mount" HIGHER, like high mountains. Burdens become greater, heavier or are piled higher. Burdens don't go further. Think.
