I used a version of them (Soma Sparrow) and liked them just fine, but it was for a very specific use case. I had a road bike frame that was definitely too big for me, and regular drop bars had me stretched out too far. The sparrow bar solved that, but I only road it for commuting on relatively flat roads.

What advantage does it have over flat bar controls? Looks like it adds tons of reach to your brake levers and looks strange.

I ran moustache for over a year and it was generally fine . I mounted my levers like so. I found them to be comfy for a while. They tend to be an aggressive bar unless you can get the stem up high like mine. What else.. a pain for bar bags and shifters but that wouldn’t be a problem for you .
They look better than they work (for me). I’ve been smitten with them for more than a decade and I now feel like I am convinced they simply are not for me and I have had this talk / intervention with myself before.
I have had them on fancy bikes and junkers. The original is not enough handlebar for me, my hands get cagey on them. I can say I do prefer an elongated musto like the albastache though even those are kinda never great for me either.
I tend to ride on gravel and bike paths and have a ride range of 5-50 or so miles and if I was riding anywhere more than 10-15 I know my hands would get so pissed they’d buy a pack of cigarettes to punish the rest of me.
All of that said I have at least one pair in the garage and idgaf I will do it again. Your mileage may vary.
Mustache bars are a solid choice for a unique and stylish look on your track bike coaster build! Plus, they offer a variety of hand positions for a comfortable ride. Rock those bars with confidence!
