I’m on a bike packing trip and I had my bottle cage mounted to the fork. Going down a descent it just fell off and the grommet got pulled out so I can’t even screw the bolt back in. The fork is carbon from a giant tough road and I had a rear rack grommet that came loose as well. Anyone know if this is fine? I’m pretty sure it is but I also just wanted to rant cause I’m fed up with this bike. If only I had more money to get a Kona or something smh.

That being carbon fiber would make me concerned that the rest of the layup is compromised. Carbon is funny stuff. I understand it does not like damage and this one picture shows a lot of damage.
I would buy a new fork.
That looks like a dangerous crack radiating from the hole in the 7 o’clock direction.
You should stop riding this ASAP and arrange a replacement or warranty.
Sorry dude, fork is dead. I don’t see another bolt hole, was the bottle cage secured by 1 bolt? Must’ve been too much weight
That mount is for a fender and not load capacity, hence why there wasn’t 2 aligning mounts for a bottle cage / rack.
Fork is dead, any continuing use you run the risk of it failing catastrophically, along with a visit to the hospital / dentist, dont risk it.

If you do wind up continuing to ride it as is until you can get a replacement, I would recommend splinting it with something stiff and a bunch of zip ties or tape, just to increase the likelihood that a failure is not entirely catastrophic.
