😅❤❤❤❤
Most Perfect video I´ve ever seen. Really impressed.
What are Springtails, please?
if i dont have dry moss to use what can i use for the substrate i see that moss grows on everything
can you use a toaster oven to sterilize the sphagnum moss?
Do you need ventilation holes?
Mine grew tons of mold, where'd I mess up? I dont think I oversaturated it
hi newbiee here, wondering if it works with isopods instead of springtails
Thanks I’ve been looking to grow moss❤
I had an old bad of half used potting soil and I harvested the best moss from the bag to start my propogation indoors. Despite not having sphagnum on hand this hould turn out well hopefully since it was harvested from the soil it's currently sitting on.
How often does the moss need to be watered?
tried it with java and cushion and to my surprise it worked! I placed it near a window for bright indirect light.
Thanks for this tutorial
How to find moss 😅?
Listen, this guy clearly means well. However, I just nearly burnt my house down by trusting his "microwave the sphagnum for a couple (2) minutes!!!!" (Also burnt my finger trying to save it)
Legit had total trust from this video. 2 minutes and it was nearly up in flames with a ton of embers that were waiting for oxygen when I opened the microwave door. I had to literally run outside and pour water on it. Brought it back in and it was still trying to start a fire. It all ended up burnt.
As a fellow content creator, you have to be careful with how you give steps and state warnings realizing that your viewers have various variables.
For everyone, I'd suggest drizzle a bit of water over the top of your sphagnum and only do 1 minute.
My house smells like burnt wood now. Thank god I handled it accordingly or it could have been a really terrible night.
Make sure the sphagnum is damp & saturated before sterilising in the microwave
hey if we dont have spagnam moss if we can use some soil
is there a cheaper option than the sphagnum ?
what is the best temperature to propagate moss? As I live in north India, where temperature range is 2-48 degrees celsius.
Would coco coir or perlite work too? I have a ton from repotting my Philodendrons.
It doesn't need airflow?
My moss won't spread. It grows long and thin and straight up
Can moss be based for orchird?
Where can i buy moss??
Amazing video! I have a question:
Is it possible to propagate in a different kind of soil? I am lacking a microwave, but I have spaghnum. I wonder if I can mix it with other type of soil, so that spaghnum is still there, but in less quantity.
Excelente video .. herman me puedes decir que materil es ese sobre el cual colocas el musgo ?
what happens to the spring tails? do you need to replenish them after you take out the moss you need?
Hi bro, thanks so mucho for the video, and i have a question, How often do you water it or is it just once in the entire process?
can you do this with Kyoto moss seeds?
Wow
What a fantastic video , we’re so you buy your springtails please?
nice video, I was wondering if you (or any viewers) have tried using charcoal or biochar as an alternative growing medium to sphagnum? the porosity of the charcoal/biochar means it retains moisture well and I have seen moss colonisation of charcoal being discussed in peer reviewed literature and I have also witnessed it happening at the Roaches, UK (which was affected by a wildfire in 2019). Anyway it would be interesting to maybe see a video comparing the success of the different growing mediums (if you have already done something like this then I will give it a watch!) 🙂
This is an amazing tutorial. Do you know about propagating or growing lichen? I’m trying to learn about that and moss too!! My isopods love to eat lichen
Can i use coco peat instead of spagnum moss?
can coco peat replace the spagnum?
Excelente vídeo educativo, gracias desde Ecuador, Sur América
Did u water it after closing the lid??
Does this also work for cat’s tail moss?
How would you sterilise the sphagnum moss if you didn't have a microwave? 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Hello,Thread like white fungus attacked in my moss propagation box. My moss is looking like slighty white in colour. What should I do?
Where do you find the little bugs
How often should you mist your moss?
I found weeping moss in my backyard. Lucky me ! Now I just gotta find a way to grow it.
No air holes needed?
Can we use this method for christmas moss too?
Is this fern moss?
