… look, after all this searching and googlings i've found i think i just need to remove the cutout thats suppose to guide the hub into place. Would that be a bad bad idea? This cutout
Look, these hubs are driving me crazy. All city go devil front hubs 15mm although depending on what endcaps you use, 15mm, 12mm or even QR. Im working with a 12mm thru axle fork but the 12mm endcaps are not available anywhere!
Currently it has endcaps for a 15mm, and i could easily fix all this by placing a 15mm to 12mm hub adapter but the cutouts wont let it happen! I can't afford a whole fork rn and with all city already or almost out of business I dont see a new batch of 12mm endcaps coming out. So are those dropout guides that important?

If by cutout you mean the ridge that keeps the hub end caps from falling too far into the fork making it difficult to insert the TA easily. Personally I would not remove them as I love the ease of simply setting the fork onto the hub and sliding in the TA.
You may be able to use Novatec end caps; they apparently were the OEM for those hubs.

You should just email All-City and ask for help sourcing some near you, or in other words you’re asking Q hello please tell me who near me has bought a lot of these skus and might have some. They’ll probably be helpful.
It is true that the lip in question is not really necessary. It’s there to help guide the wheel in only and plenty of forks have nothing of the sort. That said, just being able to install it cleanly sounds way better. The generic adapters can be kind of janky.
