  1. Could have been in motion with the lights on green and almost at them, lights changed and he had to brake. Stopping a bus is NOT like stopping a car or bike! They take much more distance to stop and can’t just jam on brakes as they have passengers to consider hence why I’d say he was in that bike area. Stop thinking like a cyclist and think about large vehicles and their dynamics.

  2. So many london cyclist complain about other vehicles. I've seen so many idiot cyclists who have a death wish! I know not all cyclists are bad – but so many think they own the road and ride through red lights. Also they switch between pavement and road when it suits them!

  3. The prohibition is to stop at the first line if possible, or if not then stop at the second if possible. It is not a blanket prohibition not to use that space. The latter happens in dense traffic, given speeds and positions relative to the stop line. READ THE HIGHWAY CODE people! Rule 178 "If your vehicle has proceeded over the first white line at the time that the signal goes red, you should stop as soon as possible and MUST stop at the second white line."

  4. Dont tell me that some idiots believe that you should stop between a bus and a car, or behind a bus… At a red light… Why someone even filmed this? Is it your first day on the road ever? Did you come out of your house after years of practising on your playstation?

  5. You are missing the fact you dudnt see the slow crawling traffic as the light turned red. They cant reverse out of the asl with that much trafic
