yesterday i was out on my bike and some guy told me that my a part of my derailier was bent but he said i could just use some pliers and bend it back no problem is he right

Nothing looks bent to me. If he was talking about that part where the cable tightens, then it is like that from the factory
Can’t tell from that angle. He’s probably talking about the derailleur hanger. If it’s bent it can cause shifting problems. Have you noticed any?
