Bruyneel is right about key staff being "locked in", but obviously riders come and go as contracts expire, there must be quite a lot of gossip going on amongst the peloton about different teams' methods, and a lot of stuff the general public (and even good amateurs) aren't privy to?

Lets take more teams with less riders on races: 5 max per team. So no team could control the race so easely anymore.

It also will depend on the roads. I mean if there are 2 long TT like 40 to 50km nearly flat for pure specialists. Then Evenepoel can be a threat.
Pogacar has the best team and is stronger in climbing. But when it comes to pure power on time trials Evenepoel is a beast.
