Parents got me this bike and I want to convert it for commuting around college campus. Anyone got suggestions?

Are there any aspects that you’re particularly unhappy about?

The only things I can think up of, are some tyres that are more suited to the tarmac, and rear rack in lieu of backpack. Though both are optional, and wouldn’t change them unless / until you feel a need.
