I’ve spent much of this year battling a knee injury, but car-free living has been a priority. Not willing to add a bike, and unwilling to part with one as I try pivot to a less transient, more sustainable relationship with bike ownership, it was inevitable that my poor old gravel bike would get the call up. I wanted fenders and a basket, but I wanted everything to be quickly removable for the times I wanted to ride gravel and such.
After a lot of searching, I came across the BBB DiscGuard Fenders and Jack the Bike Rack. Less than two minutes to fit both, and not a single tool needed. The basket is an $8 cut-in-half wardrobe organiser that is attached with a Voile Strap + cable ties, and it’s adorned with Blue Lug’s Cargo Net and their Packable Dyneema Sacoche, which alone is one of the best things I’ve ever bought.
