I have an 80s Raleigh super course I’ve been trying to restore but I can’t seem to find my 27″ front wheel. I’m thinking that since this is the first year the Peugeot started using 700 sized wheels I’d be helping myself to both wheel and tire selection and availability.

What group set is on there? Bike looks super clean. I would pay $200 for it if I were you
Probably.
Maybe give r/Peugeotbikes a first posting?
It’s not a screaming deal but I wouldn’t think twice if I already bought it.
I have this bike and would NOT sell it for 200.00. It’s a good bike.
just got my first steel roadie
panasonic dx-2000 1979 for 160
super clean, and rides better than i ever couldve imagined
200 isnt a crazy deal, but youll be getting a great bike
Hello
In a real sense of bicycles and parts it’s better to have the common 700X23-25 C types of tires and the once popular 27X1/1/4 is now gone for good because these wheels are better and have good road reisistance and take much higher tire pressures when filled up with air and many out there take 130 PSI with the newer and lighter wheels like those made of carbon or fiberglas too and that is something to see and ride on it in our bicycles we own and love to ride on today.
Like others have said, it’s a pretty fair price. Enjoy
I don’t think it’s necessarily a great deal, but if you planned on using it as a daily and planned to put some miles on it, then it’s not terrible either. It also depends on your market… If you’re in Brooklyn, then $200 seems like a good deal but if you’re in Milwaukee, then probably not so much.
