    Is this normal? Clicking sound. Bought the first gravel today

      No, there should be zero play when you lift it up like that. Take it back to the shop so they can fix it.

      I’ve bought 2 new bikes this year, both had play in the headset so I would say yes it’s normal. However it shouldn’t have play in the headset.

      Yes, it is normal, the headset preload is off. Just tighten the headset and in five minutes you are ready to go.

      No…. definitely not right.

      Perhaps the spacer is missing or head set needs to be tightened

      Is it the Nuroad model? I have the same bike it’s horribly made and pops and squeaks from everywhere.

      Cube Nuroad? Funny thing, had something similar on mine. Basically pulled apart the whole bike, greased and lubed every bit as needed and pit back together. Couple of hours with the krank and all the other stuff. All good now.

      Easy fix but whoever sold you that bike needs to hand you a proper setup bike. Handlebar needs to be centered as well. Anything else you think is off?

      Your headset needs to get adjusted. An easy fix and all you need is one or two Allen wrenches. FYI, with every new bike this has to be done a couple of times because the headset needs to settle in. No big deal.

      Google preloading your headset and do it yourself in 2 minutes. Not sure why so many people say take it back… it’s something you should know how to do.

      The headset is loose. That’s an easy fix..but I personally would let them check the bike again because this is a rookie mistake and who knows what else they missed.

      You can SEE THE AIR GAP that headset is so loose

      Fix that problem before you ride it anywhere

      With one big and one small issue present I’d be worried about the work of the shop you went to…
      Bring it back to them and if they don’t make everything right it might be time to return it or fix it yourself and never go back.
      Local shop near me had issues installing people’s brakes wrong, big no no for me, so I don’t go there anymore.
      Definitely give all the important parts a check yourself or at another shop if you’re still getting sketchy vibes.

      You must have it checked before going out. Most bike are just put together not really save to go out at first otherwise if mentioned.

      Can’t see anywhere where OP says this came from a bricks and mortar store, so maybe it came in a box with the stem and pre-load bolt loosened so the bike would fit in the box, as is completely normal for new bikes. I’m unsure why everyone here is pushing OP to get a professional to fix it, it’s about the easiest thing to do, and any issues with safety are easily overcome by just learning how to do it and doing it properly. This could be sorted in less than 5 minutes with ease.
