Got this bike for free. Going to need grips, pedals, and probably new tires and tubes shortly down the line. I was thinking white parts for some contrast. Thoughts? Also, where should I go to get parts? New to BMX.

throw some pedals on it… get some tubes ready… upgrade nothing. ride it until something mission critical fails. if you find yourself enjoying bmx, then invest money into it and get a new bike or build frame up (not this frame)
Depends where you are in the world, but check for local bike and bmx shops first where possible. Grips, tyres and tubes, pedal, maybe a chain and go from there
