Have my eye on a new stigmata or an open wide but I’m sure there are more options out there. I ride a lot of steeper single track mixed with road.

Salsa cutthroat is a good option as well
[Mason ISO](https://masoncycles.cc/products/insearchof-gx-eagle-axs). Similar geo to Salsa Cutthroat but steel and somehow lighter. Tubing and welds are exquisite. The load bearing integrated mud guard is awesome, as is the optional proprietary fork-mounted front rack. I absolutely love mine. It rips.
I looked at the Salsa Cutthroat, the Open Wide, the Curve GMX, and Bearclaw Beaux Jaxon. I ended up with the Beaux Jaxon, and haven’t regretted it. The only thing it really doesn’t do well on is group rides on the road… Aero it isn’t. I went with wide and flared Whisky bars, and the thing is great on chunk, single track, and gravel. I’ve raced it, done 6+ hour rides on it, and its uber comfortable. I typically ride a 54cm road or gravel bike, but went with the 52.5cm. I’m getting stuff to kit it out for bikepacking as well. It’s got all the mounts needed.
Mines built up the Force/X01 group with the carbon fork and run 29 x 40, 45, and 55mm tires. Technically you’re not supposed to go smaller than 45, but I only use the 40s for more smooth routes. It weighs in just under 22, so it’s pretty light for what it is.
Some gravel bikes from mountain bike companies with suspension-corrected geo tend to have slacker HTAs – like the YT Szepter and Nukeproof Digger.
The Ari Schaefer has a relaxed head angle.
