purchased this bike a month ago for $200 with the intention to turn it into a commuter (commute will be about 10 miles each direction). The paint is in very good condition with only a few minor scratches. It appears the previous owner upgraded almost all components including Shimano Deore XT groupset, Shimano 105 downtube shifters, Shimano 105 brakes BR 1050 with SLX brake levers, and like new Matrix Titan 700c MIUSA wheels. replaced the brake cables, shifting cables, freewheel, chain, bar tape, seat (charge spoon), and tires (Schwalbe Marathon GreenGuard 35c). added an old set Shimano PD-421 flat SPD pedals and then purchased a used rear pannier rack + Wald folding basket for a total of $30. Total cost for this was about $150.

I am very pleased with the outcome and thought I’d share with the community!

Uff da! That’s a “tall drink of water” right there!

And it’s a triple! What part of the country?

P.S. If you need to get rid of that derailleur let me know.

This is in such impeccable condition! Great work! So beautiful. How do you keep the chrome pieces (especially the ring between the fork and the head tube) on the frame so shiny and keep them from oxidizing or rusting? I am asking because I want to utilize whatever chemicals/cleaning techniques on my own 84 Bridgestone
