Wife’s new Spot Ryve – XTR build- rear brake starts squealing and then no brake power. I cleaned rotors and pads with Honda brake cleaner. Rotors have serious blueing. No difference. Swap rotor with good used. No brake power. Sand metallic pads – hard glazed. No difference. What happened in a couple hundred miles of riding? Shimano/SRAM/Avid disc brakes on dozen different bikes – never seen this happen.

It sounds like the pads got contaminated. Brake cleaner doesn’t clean them that well, to be honest. Sometimes you just can’t get the oil out of the pads.
My suggestion would be to first look for leaking oil, including residual oil in the nipples. If there’s oil in the nipples, I’d say whoever assembled it didn’t do a proper job and that resulted in the contamination. If there isn’t, then I’d look elsewhere for contamination. (Chain wax bits, any sort of spray-anything including degreaser, misapplied lube, road spray from driving with it on the car…)
Then after checking for that and cleaning the calipers out, sand the rotors gently with 220 grit which will restore them to like-new, wash them with dish soap and water and then clean with alcohol. Banjo seeping. It was tight but maybe o-ring didn’t seat right. At least found the cause.
It’s possible that the brake was never bedded in and glazed over. Or, it got contaminated. Try new pads after a clean of the rotors as you had done. Use a cotton swab to clean inside the rotor holes and in the caliper. Bed them in. it should be good.
