I’ve been riding an endurance geometry bike (giant defy advanced) and have been fascinated with canyon aeroad. For me, the sram version gives an aero frame, deep rim carbon wheels and electronic shifting. Those are massive upgrades for me.

Curious to hear ppls take on whether it’s worth the additional $1.2K for just the di2 and an additional 0.5kgs in weight savings?

I can probably stretch my budget to get the costlier one but I don’t race competitively. Plus, I can easily lose some weight to make up for that additional 0.5kg frame weight saving

    It’s Di2 and ultegra so technically a higher level. In my opinion, not really but that’s all personal and financial. The rival etap is pretty solid and I think you’d be happy with it. Check other specs. 7vs 8 models often have other upgrades too
