Doesn’t look like there is too much room for more width, my current 27.5” are 2.5” wide and I’m not sure how much smaller they get. Don’t know if this was helpful really but you could look up how big of the difference is between the two sizes.
Edit: you will need new rims and tubes obviously and potentially other parts.
